Description from nursery: Hardy, highly productive and resistant to chestnut blight, this 50’ tall tree has a spreading habit and bears loads of large, sweet nuts. From the breeding program of J.U. Gellatly of British Columbia, it claims Chinese parentage and makes a good pollinizer.

Received plant in April from Raintree Nursery and planted directly in the arboretum.
