Fig – Dessert King

Fig (Ficus carica) – Dessert King
Quantity: 1
Location: 2nd Hugelkultur row bed
Purchased from Rolling River Nursery
Planted: Spring 2011
USDA Zones: 7-11

Description from nursery: Excellent coastal variety is unique in that it produces a heavy breba crop, which ripens early, followed by a light fall crop. Delicious sweet large green fruits with strawberry colored flesh. Does best in the North West and other cool areas. A vigorous growing and hardy tree.

Received plant in December from Rolling River. I allowed the plant to break dormancy and leaf out in the during the early spring and waited to plant in the ground until after the last frost.
