Description from nursery: Very hardy almond variety can be grown well north of the commercial varieties range. Blooms late, helping it to avoid frosts. Has a thin, well-sealed shell and high quality sweet meat. Best pollinated by other late-blooming almonds or peaches. On peach seedling rootstock.

Received plant in December from Rolling River Nursery and planted directly in the arboretum.
